Behind the Scenes
Nepal, where our ministry started is one of the poorest country in the world. As with many such countries, it is the women and children that are most at risk from the effect of poverty such as malnutrition, diseases, psychological stress, teenage pregnancies, abuse, neglect, child labour and human trafficking.
In addition, poor educational infrastructure and systematic social injustices trap many in the poverty cycle. On the other hand, in countries like Singapore where I am from, there are often times, rampant and indiscrete consumerism, spending and wastages. Imagine what we can do with just some of our excess wealth and talents if we pool together to help someone to hope !!

Who we are
We are a faith based non-profit organization founded in 2018 and registered in Singapore. ( REG: 202219806D). We work hand in hand with our Nepali partners and other friends worldwide to help the poor in the area of education and medical as part of our witness to the love of Jesus Christ.

WHAT WE DO
Alleviating poverty and social injustice thru Education
We operate in the brick factories to help children of very poor itinerant workers and their family to provide poverty relief and humanitarian support .
The efforts include talks, distribution of essential items for the workers and activities for the children.
At a even bigger and Global Level, we aim to make assessable and quality primary school education thru the SIT program ( see below)
School in thumbdrive (SIT)– A Global Initiative by Peace Child Ministry
In many countries, school access is difficult for young children who have to walk long distances over difficult terrain and weather. In addition, many public schools are poorly manned, teachers absenteeism is a big problem and quality of lessons are dismal.
SIT enables a villager with a very simple understanding of English to know how, what and when to teach. It can be modularized in a tuition program or a multiyear primary school program in villages for the young to prepare them for secondary schools. It can be used as a tuition program, supplementary aid to schools and even in refugee camps. Click here for full video
It is currently in used in Nepal but it is a global initiative that will be launched also in other countries with needs such as India, South East Asia and Africa.

What we do
Our Hostels- To give to the poorest our best
Carmichael Hostel@ Kathmandu
Carmichael Hostel@ Bardiya
Both hostels look after 20 young girls from very difficult backgrounds and provide education, full board and lodgings and a loving home.
Volunteer teachers from English speaking countries give supplementary English lessons thru zoom. We aim to help our children grow up well educated, be well employed and to contribute back to the family and society.
Carmichael Hostel Girls' Choir @Kathmandu
In Kathmandu, the Carmichael Hostel Girls' Choir regularly perform English songs and plays during Christmas, Easter and other key community events.
This bolster their self confidence and their faith in God and allows them to contribute to the community.

What we do
Medical Missions- Meeting real needs
Together with our partners; Emmanuel Polyclinic and the Anglican Diocese of Singapore, we operate a small 5 bedded polyclinic and a community health team in the rural district of Dang in Nepal. This provides good, trustworthy and affordable health care that is not available at poorly manned and staffed public hospitals. The community health team work with volunteers from village churches to bring primary health care to the villagers.

Project Tumpang
Project Tumpang ( singlish meaning “to help someone bring something” ) is an initiative by one of our friends to collect and bring new but used items over to Nepal. If you are visiting Nepal and can spare some luggage space you can help us avoid the hefty taxations and freight charges. Thru this effort almost 200Kg of stuff has been brought over till date .

LEE TECK HONG
Teck Hong is the founder of “LET’S CHAT ABOUT FATHERS”, which serve Fathers via blogging, training & videos. He is a Master Trainer with THE WORLD NEEDS A FATHER and was Group Head for Programs & Ops at the CENTRE FOR FATHERING. He worships in Bethesda (Bedok-Tampines) Church, and served as Cell Pastor, then Lead Chinses Pastor. Before serving full time, Teck Hong was in business development and management in Hotel, IT, Consulting industries.

Lim Soo Peng works as an Advocate and Solicitor in Private Legal Practice.
DR RANJANA ACHARYA
Dr Ranjana obtained her specialist accreditation in Internal Medicine from the Singapore Medical Council in 2008. She is currently working as a Senior Consultant in General Internal Medicine, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. She has a keen interest in Medical Education and teaches both undergraduates and postgraduates students. She also has an interest in Bioethical issues from the Christian perspective.
KEVIN LOWE
Kevin Lowe, holds a Bachelor of Divinity from Trinity Theological College, MA in Missions and Evangelism from Sheffield University and a Doctor of Ministry from Ashbury Theological Seminary in Contextual Leadership and Cultural Anthropology. He lectures in several seminaries in South East Asia and served as a pastor and missionary for 16 years, the latter half as a tent maker running several businesses. He believes in holistic missions and is passionate about market place and BAM ministry that seeks to empower.
